Alix Erie has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Geneva and is currently completing her masters degree in Nuclear & Corpuscular Physics from the same University with a minor concentration in theoretical physics. Her scientific formation includes Classical & Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Mechanics, Quantum Field Theory, Cosmology, General Relativity, Group Theory, Real & Complex Analysis, and Algebraic Topology. Her master research involves String Theory, Statistical Field Theory, and the AdS/CFT correspondence.
Alix is formally trained in the ancient traditions and science of Raja Yoga (translated as “the royal path of yoga”), which includes traditional Patajali Ashtanga yoga ( translated as “the yoga of 8 stages”), Kundalini yoga, Kriya yoga, Karma & Bhakti yoga, Mantra yoga, Yantra yoga and Dhyana yoga. She received Yoga Teacher Certification from Yoga Vidya Gurukul in Nashik, India in 2006. In 2010 she returned for the Diploma in Yogic Studies– Advanced Yoga Practices. She also completed the Ohenrosan Zen Buddhist pilgrimage in 2005, walking 1200 km over a period of 2 months and visiting over 80 Buddhist temples.
During the last 8 years Alix has experimented at length with veganism, raw veganism and the 80-10-10 diet. Her yogic formation includes not only a base in Ayurveda, but also a variety of cleansing techniques including but not limited to the 6 shatkarmas, shankha prakshalana, and water fasting.
Alix hopes to marry the schools of thought of yoga and physics through the study of energy and the vibrations of The Universe.
